Plot: “The Ghouls” is a Chinese Feature Length distributed by Dalian Wanda and IM Global, Produced by Huayi Brothers and Beijing Enlight Pictures; The Ghouls (《寻龙诀》) is based on the #1 best-selling treasure hunting novel in China. The Ghouls is set in the 1980s, and follows a former soldier going by the name of Hu Bayi and his partner as they raid tombs in search of valuables. The two team up with an American archaeologist after they fall victim to a curse, and to release themselves from it, they must seek clues found among ancient mythical sites in China and Tibet.
